Ch Buttonwood's Take a Chance on Me
Cathy Carey invited us to come and pick a puppy bitch
from the repeat breeding of 'Willie' (Am./Can. BIS,
BISS Ch. Buttonwood's Crown Royal). While we were there Cathy
stacked the single male puppy on the table. We liked what we
saw and our hands liked what we felt. Cathy move this barely
trained puppy on the lead and he threw his head back and moved
out. I was impressed enough to ask if I could take the
lead. I could hardly feel him on the lead, he simply
flew. I was hooked and shortly convinced my husband, Steve, to
take a chance and purchase this promising young dog who was
appropriately named Buttonwood's Take a Chance on Me.

At 7 months Chance won Winners Dog and
Best of Winners for a 4 point major at the Southern New
Jersey Cocker Specialty. We brought him home from Cathy's,
taking him to Canada and he went Winners Dog, Best of
Winners, Best of Opposite and Best Sporting Puppy in
Group. He is just shy of his Canadian title. Chance
won his second major under Gyn Gerhart and finished his championship
with a 3rd major under Leslie Rogers. Thank you Cathy for
sharing this dog with us. we are very pleased to have Chance
join us at Sunhaven.
